My work is rooted in a balance of documentary observation and editorial composition. my goal is to photograph wedding days as they naturally unfold while remaining attentive to playful composition and creative perspectives.
I’m drawn to weddings that feel intentional but unforced. The kinds of days where the atmosphere is shaped as much by the setting as it is by the people within it!
Photographing on film plays a massive role in how I approach a wedding as it allows me to slow down, pay closer attention, and let moments develop rather than directing them too heavily.
My approach is grounded in creating space for both the candid and the composed. I’ll guide when needed, but I’m especially focused on stepping back and observing the moments that unfold naturally!
Rather than over-staging or interrupting the natural rhythm of a wedding, I aim to document it in a way that feels honest and visually interesting. The result is a collection of images that are both emotionally present and creative in their composition! photos for the shoebox!
While I’m based in Arkansas, I regularly travel for weddings across the United States and internationally! photographing in a range of settings keeps my inspiration so fresh!
as much as i love traveling to beautiful new places and being part of so many special days, i equally love coming home. my life outside of photographing weddings involves lots of thrifting, taking my pup charlie for walks, lounging by the river and enjoying a patio beer with my friends.
one of the biggest components of my life that truly influences the way I shoot is my family. i’m the youngest of five sisters and aunt to twelve (yes twelve!) nieces and nephews. photographing them will always be my greatest source of inspiration.
The first people i ever photographed were my family. the way the kids lean into being photographed without reservation or worrying about how they look formed the way i wanted to shoot and it’s an element i carry with me in all of my work. playful energy and honesty!
